We have been to Las Vegas numerous times that I'm unsure I can recall all the places we stayed, but i feel it's a minimum of 8 different hotels. The Las Vegas Hilton, now the Westgate Las Vegas Resort was our favourite , closely followed by Mandalay Bay. Then MCM Grand and therefore the Flamingo Hilton. Everything considered, Treasure Island is that the only place we stayed in Las Vegas where i might advise against staying.
To see if it might be done-- Las Vegas without gambling-- we once went for a collective 13 days in Las Vegas without gambling and had a grand time.
the Basics
Fremont St. was the first Las Vegas gambling center. Compared to The Strip, the Fremont St hotels are smaller, less costly and more approximate . The greater density of Fremont St. makes for easier partying on the road , especially in the dark (Goggle the “Fremont Street Experience”).
The Strip (Las Vegas Blvd. ) is legally not within the City of Las Vegas . While the Fremont St. casinos span a couple of blocks, the widely separated Strip casinos sprawl for miles. The Flamingo Hilton was the primary casinos on The Strip, built my a mafioso who was later rubbed out by the Dons of the ny mobs for skimming to much of the profits.
In the Vicinity our favourite hotel in Las Vegas , the Westgate Las Vegas Resort is found ‘off The Strip', as are Rio and therefore the Orleans et al. including a growing number of casinos in Henderson, NV, which is now a part of the greater Las Vegas conurbation , and Las Vegas really sprawls. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Statistical Area, the way the US Census defines urban conglomerations, covers 600 square miles.
Although its about half-hour south of the Strip on I-15, i might also consider staying in Jean, NV, right the CA border where rooms and even food are less costly than low priced Las Vegas because we've already done that on multiple trips to Las Vegas.

A Las Vegas Christmas
